Yes, taxes are higher in Canada than in the US. That’s how we pay for health care and other social benefits such as parental leave. But we don’t go broke either when a medical emergency occurs.
Ontarians, like Americans, have gotten what they deserve because of who they voted for.

I’m in Quebec, and while I wish my tax dollars would be spent on just about anything but language laws, overall, as a bilingual person, I am pretty much okay with how things are going here.
Everyone voted for Ford while I voted against him. It's sad that he won because people wanted to get back at Trudeau or the NDP agenda. Easy for you to say when your family isn't suffering from idiotic voters.

I want to believe that but Doug Ford is mismanaging and privatizing healthcare in Ontario. Maybe that's not a real problem in other Canadian provinces
